Beyond the Blue Domes: Engineering Culture & Art in Uzbekistan’s New Landmarks
Uzbekistan is a land where the ancient Silk Road whispers through turquoise-blue domes and intricate mosaic facades.
Today, this rich heritage is meeting modern engineering in a spectacular way. Consequently, this engineering ensures long-term durability.
In this project, Our advanced GRC dome engineering in Uzbekistan sets a new benchmark for structural design. In addition, these sculptures celebrate the rich heritage of the region.
At CCSD Creative, we believe that “We don’t just put art in spaces; we create spaces within art itself.”
Therefore, Our latest proposal for Uzbekistan reflects this vision. It is a masterclass in blending high-tech structural engineering, advanced GRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) materials, and deeply emotive cultural storytelling
Here is a deeper look into how we are transforming Uzbekistan’s urban landscape from heavy-load engineering to bespoke cultural sculptures.
Engineering Marvels: GRC Dome Engineering in Uzbekistan
Beyond the Surface: The centerpiece of our proposal is a massive architectural dome. While its exterior evokes the grandeur of Samarkand’s historic mosques, its interior is a feat of modern precision engineering.
Technical Excellence: The main steel structure is engineered to carry a total load of 20 tons.
Furthermore, the outer GRC shell alone weighs 12 tons (We reinforce this with a secondary 3-5 ton steel framework.).
Moreover, to ensure absolute structural integrity in diverse climates, the dome is meticulously segmented into 6 horizontal layers. Each layer is further split into 25 precise fan-shaped zones, allowing the curved panels to gradually wrap around the sphere from bottom to top with flawless geometry.
Client Value: This isn’t just a roof; it is a weather-resistant fortress. It is engineered to withstand heavy snow loads and, crucially, is fitted with a seismic buffer layer between the main dome keel and the building structure. This ensures the artwork remains safe even during earthquakes.
Beyond the Surface: We do not compromise on the “skin” of our structures. Our use of GRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) offers a perfect balance of lightweight durability and aesthetic freedom.
Technical Excellence: Our GRC panels feature a 20mm thick base layer, offering high tensile strength and crack resistance. But the true innovation lies in the composite layering: a 30mm layer of fireproof, sound-absorbing, and thermal insulation rock wool (with a density of 160KG/m³) is sandwiched between the GRC and a 0.5mm finishing layer. This creates a highly efficient thermal barrier.
Client Value: This composite system provides superior fire safety, excellent acoustic insulation (perfect for public plazas and exhibition halls), and energy efficiency. Furthermore, we apply a rigorous waterproofing process comprising a “primer + flexible waterproofing + waterproof topcoat” system with specialized sealants at every expansion joint guaranteeing 100% protection against moisture and weathering.
Beyond the Surface: A city without art is just concrete. Our proposal brings the vibrant soul of Uzbekistan to life through dynamic, life-sized sculptural installations that celebrate the country’s cultural identity.
Cultural Excellence: We have crafted three signature thematic sculpture zones for this project:
- The “Plov” (Pilaf) Sculpture: A giant, communal bronze sculpture paying homage to Uzbekistan’s national dish. It captures the warmth, hospitality, and shared joy of cooking in a traditional iron cauldron.
- The “Wine & Grapes” Sculpture: Celebrating Uzbekistan’s 2,500-year-old viticulture history, this piece pays tribute to the sun-drenched valleys that have produced wine since the 6th century BC.
- The “Samsa” (Baked Dumpling) Scene: A charming, festive sculpture depicting the traditional baking of Samsa in a clay tandoor oven, symbolizing family and community.
Client Value: These installations transform a generic public square into a cultural destination. They act as gathering points for locals and tourists, creating photo-worthy landmarks that build a strong emotional connection between the community and the space.
Our team ensures world-class quality. It base in Hebei, China and a dedicated design and engineering team, we deliver turnkey solutions. Whether you need the complex engineering of a 20-ton dome structure, advanced GRC waterproofing systems, or custom-designed cultural sculptures, we manage the entire lifecycle from schematic design and material sourcing to on-site installation.
We look beyond blueprints to build spaces that resonate with history and humanity https://ccsdcreative.com.
